Warning! This post is super long…I crammed four days into one!
Thursday at KOTK, Will and Caroline had Fall Parties. Will's class did not dress up, but they had a really fun party and got lots of Candy (according to Will) and Caroline's class dressed up as Community Helpers. A month ago, Caroline was invited to a super fun birthday party that was a train theme. She got a conductor's hat and a whistle and she has loved playing with it so much, we thought she should be Conductor Caroline! She had a blast!
On Thursday night, we finally carved our pumpkins. The past couple of years we have waited until just a few days before to carve them, so they don't look so rough come Halloween night. The kids really got into the design and helping clean out the seeds. Will held his nose the whole time because he "couldn't stand the stinky smell"! This reminds me of being little and the excitement of the impending Halloween night! I love experiencing this holiday through my children's eyes!
Friday night, Jesse and Will went to the cabin to spend the night with some friends. Mommy and Caroline hung out with Nonnie and watched movies! So fun. Please pardon this picture of me. I look rough...but Caroline looks cute!!!
Saturday we braved the morning chill to watch Will play soccer and I am so GLAD I did! Not only did I get to see my baby play an awesome game...I got to see Kimberly Williams Paisley*...Will played against Brad and Kimberly's child, Huck! So cool. She is just like any other momma...wow!
Saturday night...we went out to dinner with our Sunday School class. I love that group of people. We have only been together since Feb., but those people are like family to me. After dinner, four brave couples went to Millers Thrillers Haunted Woods...Scary. It was a blast and we had the best time. I have screamed or laughed that hard in a long time!
Tonight we went to the Zoo with Ashley and Brian to the Ghouls at Grassmere. Brian has the hook up on tons of cool stuff and we feel incredibly blessed to get to tag along! The zoo was a blast. After dark, when the animals are all sleeping the zoo comes to life. There were tons of spooky effects and lots of candy! Will, Caroline, and Maclaine had a blast. The parents had a pretty spooktacular time too!
Stay tuned for Halloween night!!!
