Basketball tournament

Will had his last basketball game in a tournament at College Grove. It was a two night tournament and they won the first night, so they advanced to the finals. They ended up winning the tournament and Will was so excited because he got a big trophy! Way to Go Bethesda Bulldogs!!!IMG_6480

Skate Time

Today I went to Will’s gym class to help out with their latest activity. I love Will’s school for many reasons, but one huge reason is they do so many fun activities in their PE class. I went to high school with his PE teacher and she is amazing. Not only is she hilarious, she loves and cares about those children.  A couple of weeks ago, Will brought home a permission slip for roller skating in PE. Instantly, I thought this sounded so fun! I loved to tear up the roller rink in my day, so I thought this was a fabulous idea! A couple of days later, we got a note asking for parent volunteers to help with the roller skating activity during their PE time. So, I signed up for today. When I arrived there were a couple of other mothers there to help out. I tell you what…it was good for this Momma’s soul. I was in desperate need of a good belly laugh and boy, did I get a couple. I had no clue, how clueless Kindergartners were! Gym class is around 50 minutes, it took a good 15 to pass out and put skates on and this was with 4 parent volunteers! Then we put on the knee and wrist guards and it was time to get their roll on! They turn the lights out and on the ceiling there was a disco ball! How fun! It looks fancy in the picture because they were having a Daddy/Daughter dance that night. They turned on the latest hits from Justin Bieber and added some old school “Who Let the Dogs Out” and those kids took off… Well, some of them. Some spent more time on the ground! It was truly so funny! They were able to skate for about 5 songs and then it was time to go through the whole take off process again. I even had one child forget what his Tennis shoes looked like. Bless those PE teachers and Kindergarten teachers. I am so thankful that my sweet boy goes to such a wonderful school and is loved by those who care for him while he is away from his Momma!

Soccer has started again!!!

Soccer has officially started. Will is playing at WCSA again so he is pretty pumped. Jesse is his coach along with a friend from church, so Will has a couple of friends on his team this season. Will is playing up this year in Under 7, so I was anxious to see how the first game would go. Well, besides the torrential downpour…the game went wonderful. Will scored 4 goals!!! He played so well and despite the age difference, he was aggressive. This is a change because normally, Will is not super aggressive. His team is navy and white this year and his team name is the Tiger Sharks! They love to chant “Go Tiger Sharks” and so does this Momma! I am so enjoying soccer this season because the older they are the more competitive the games become. They even have referees! Here are a couple of pictures from the first game…pardon the quality. I made them from under an umbrella!

Go Tiger Sharks!!!

Soccer Camp

Will and Caroline attended a soccer camp in Columbia this year. Last year, Will went to the Williamson county soccer camp, but we had a conflict this year, so we decided to give Columbia a try. The kids had a blast! Caroline was able to participate this year and she was so excited to get her first pair of soccer cleats! The best part about camp in Columbia was getting to go out to eat with Grandmother. Jesse’s grandmother lives in Columbia and one night after practice they all went to eat dinner, I had to work Sad smile. Here are a few pictures from the week.

Tee Ball Game

Last night was little sister’s first tee ball game. It was a hoot. I had more fun than her I think. If you are in need of a smile or a good laugh. You should find a local tee ball game. You will leave with your spirits lifted. Jesse is our head coach. Guess who had to fly  last night. I was assured that I could fill in as coach for him and it would be no big deal. Thankfully, he was right! Here are some pics from the game.
