Midweek update…

Monday we had dance class…it poured. So we did what everyone else in Williamson County with small children did. We went to the Mall and eat at Chik Fil A and played in the mall playground. The new playground is totally buddy. It is way small and it is a playground all about washing your hands…REALLY? How boring is that? Even germaphobes and nurses think that is lame. My kids were desperate, so that played but I tell you it was sub par entertainment. Just saying.

That evening Will had basketball practice. The coaches handed out the uniform tonight and this dude was so pumped. He put it on as soon as they gave it to him and he wanted to put the shorts on but I was scared of hypothermia, so I talked him out of it! I cannot wait until Saturday…this is going to be hilarious!

Tuesday we had school. PTL! This was one happy Momma on Tuesday, especially with the threat of snow. But it did not snow and we did have school and everyone (well, except probably the teachers) was happy! After school, because they had studied the letter “I” we headed to get a little ice cream! Yum!!!

 

Tuesday night, Mom and I went to a Holiday Marketplace with a sweet friend. I got lots of good stuff and I am almost finished with my Christmas shopping! Woo Hoo!!! Thanks Poppy for babysitting, so that Mom and I could have a mid week date!

Wednesday we went to a indoor playground and decorated more for Christmas! Don’t judge…we had ice cream twice this week already!!!

A couple of years ago, Mom gave me this Christmas Village and I have never ever put it up. The kids found it this year and had to put it up! Don’t worry it is not going to be on the red table cloth, I have to get some snow!!!

Thankful for Thanksgiving…

Thursday we spent Thanksgiving Day in Manchester at Jesse’s grandmother’s house. We had a wonderful time and I look forward to it every year because we don’t see this side of the family nearly as often as we should. Will and Caroline loved playing with their cousins! There are five boys and three girls…and next year there will be even more babies there! Yea for big families! The food was yummy and the company was great and there were many fond memories made!

That night Mom and I geared up for the Third Annual Black Friday Shopathon! So fun. I love this tradition that we have started because I love spending time with my mom and I love shopping! I scored lots of awesome deals and let’s just say the kids are going to be super excited on Christmas morning!

 

On Friday morning Jesse played in the Turkey Bowl in Nolensville with Brian Snyder. The girls cheered on the boys and afterwards we went out to lunch at a super yummy restaurant in Nolensville called Nana’s Diner!

 

Saturday we put up the tree and the kids have thought Santa was coming and even woke this morning with a little disappointment!  This could be a long month!!!

Slightly Wordless Wednesday!

We decided since school is closed for the week and because I wanted to do something slightly festive with the children…we made turkey breakfast!!!

My Birthday Weekend

This year instead of celebrating one day for my birthday…I celebrated four! My sweet husband took me out to dinner on Friday night and to the movies. Of course we have no picture!

Saturday night, I went out to dinner with my Mom and my sister and we did a little shopping. Since my sister lives in Florida, it is such a treat for us to be together and without children and just enjoy spending time talking face to face!

Sunday we had Thanksgiving with my family and on Sunday night the guys watched the children and my Mom and my sister and I went out again to dinner! We were so blessed!

Monday night we went to one of our favorite restaurants to celebrate! I feel so loved and blessed! Here is to year 31!!!

Thanksgiving with Marlins

Today we celebrated Thanksgiving with my side of the family. My sister and my brother-in-law came in on Friday night and have been staying with my parents. We all went to my parents’ church as a family and then we ate lunch and just enjoyed each others company. November is a big month for my family. We always have lots to celebrate when we get together. Trey’s birthday is on Nov. 7, Will’s birthday is Nov. 13, Nannie and Papa celebrated 59 years of marriage on Nov. 18th, and my 31st birthday is on Nov. 21st! We had so much to be thankful for this year and we are grateful to the Lord for allowing us to all be together to celebrate!

First Basketball Practice

Tonight was Will’s basketball practice. He is playing in the Under 6 league. He is actually the youngest child on his team. He had the best time and it was amazing how quickly these little guys and girls pick up on sports. I can’t wait to sit in the stands and cheer on my little basketball player!!!

Will’s Pirate Party

For Will’s 5th Birthday we had a pirate party! We had ten little five year old  boys and little sister and girl cousin at our house for a pirate scavenger hunt! Will said it was his best birthday ever! Jesse spent lots of time organizing a pirate adventure that included sword fighting and water balloon launching! So much fun…Happy 5th Birthday Will!
