June 5-11

Here is what we have been up to this week:

SWIMMING! It was way to hot to do anything else.
Hattie is starting to enjoy the water more too! I am so relieved, I was so stressed thinking I might have a child that did not like the water!

We swam more with Dad. Swimming with Dad is always more fun than swimming with Mom because he actually gets in the water and plays!

Rob had swim lessons this week. He did great! He is taking again next week, so hopefully he will become more comfortable in the water and I will become more comfortable too!

He actually loved the lessons! His sweet teacher was named Ms. Abby and he loved swimming with her.

We had a playdate at the pool this week. I had three extra children. Whoa...I do not think I could handle 7!!!

Hattie is squealing and chatting constantly and I just love it! I especially love when she squeals really loud and makes herself cry! It cracks me up...does that make me a mean Mom?

I snapped this picture of baby boy's chubby hand. Love. I want to always remember how sweet and smushy it was. Love him so.
I am embarrassed to even put this down on paper...my children just started all sleeping in the respective beds. Up until now, we have played musical beds and with Jesse traveling it was just easier that way...Ya'll...kids sleeping in their OWN bed is the most magical thing ever! Too bad it took me so long to realize this! So, we are all enjoying good night sleeps over here. And I am LOVING it!

May 29- June 4

What we have been up to this week:

We went to church with my parent's this weekend...all festive for the holiday!

We celebrated the brave men and women who died fighting for our freedom. In particular, we remembered my Uncle Robert, who died in Vietnam.

We played in creeks and got muddy...

We tried on swimsuits for fun !

We went to the Rec Center with half of the county on Memorial Day. It took me almost 2 hours to get everyone ready to get there and then we stayed for less than 2 hours! Yikes!

We smiled and just looked super cute in general.

We attended a super fun Bible study and also swam with sweet friends!

We created the creepy scene from Splash! Ugh, for real that scene gives me the heeby jeebies!

We lunched with our besties!

While, the big kids went to a Day camp for the day, we had a "littles" day and I tried to shop for a bathing suit. Let's just say, no suit was bought! Ha!

And we are nailing sitting up! (for a short period of time)

And of course, it wouldn't be Saturday if we didn't have a soccer game. This time it rained, so we played indoor and my big guy scored 2 goals! Boom!

Summer is continuing to fly by! I need it to slow down!!!

May 22-28

What we have been up to this week:

It was our first full week since school let out and believe me when I say, "we hit the ground running!"
We went to Pump it Up for a birthday party. That was super fun. The big kids of course love those kinds of places, but Rob had a ball!

Rob and Caroline...such sweet buddies!

Hanging with our cousins who are also our friends!

After the party we went swimming at our neighbors house...my children cannot get enough of the pool!

My sweet girl

I had to throw Ms. Priss in there! I could just eat her up!

We had a park day complete with a picnic lunch (Ok, sonic drinks and a $5 Hot and Ready) that counts, right?

On Friday morning, Jesse decided we should all hike a big hill close to our home. It was actually kind of fun. AND VERY HOT!

Saturday morning, Will had a soccer game. He is playing in a summer league with kids from different soccer clubs. It has been a very cool experience and we have really enjoyed watching him get better!

We also celebrated Memorial Day with Jesse's family at his Mom's Neighborhood pool. My kids love there cousins so much, so we had a wonderful time!

Caroline got a Mermaid tail for her birthday from us and Nonni and she has been obsessed with swimming since it came in the mail. I will admit, if I was not 35 and a grown woman...I would so get one of these.

Hattie is 5 months

Today sweet Hattie Baby you are 5 months. 5 months of kisses, smiles, crying, laughing, and loving you!

All about Hattie at 5 months:
You smile all the time! You love Will, Caroline, and Rob. If something gets in your way of seeing them, you crane your little neck so hard to see them...just so you can smile at them! This has deemed you the nickname, little turtle head!
You go to bed around 7:30-8:00 and you sleep to 4:30 or 5:00 am! So big! You still sleep in the Rock N play and you still love to be swaddled! You are such a good nurser but you are watching our every move at meal times. I know you can't wait to try some food!

You still love the swing and it has truly been a life saver!
I started putting you in the jumper and you really like it...for about 15 minutes!
You are still very petite and are wearing a size 1 diaper during the day(because we had a whole box left and you still fit in them) and size 2 at night.
You are sucking on your fingers and still refuse to take the bottle or a pacifier!
You are not a huge fan of the car seat still, but I think you are starting to tolerate it! This month you celebrated...

Rob's birthday, Daddy's  birthday, and school getting out for big kids.
We love you so much and still cannot believe you are ours!!!

Caroline's Dance Recital

Yesterday was Caroline's 5th dance recital! I cannot believe she has been taking dance this long! We just love Ms. McClain and her sweet studio and her sweet friends. She asked me after the recital if she could take again next year. So happy she loves to dance!

Our sweet cousin, Charlotte, danced too this year! She did so well!

My beautiful girl. I am so proud of her. She danced her little heart out.

Her sweet class. She has danced with several of these girls for many years!

Maclaine and Caroline have taken dance together for 5 years. So glad they get to spend one day a week together!

Her proud Daddy!

Sweet friends after the recital!

Nonni and her girl

Bebe had two dancers in the show!

The whole family

Caroline,
You were a shining star today! We are so proud of you and how hard you worked!
We love you!
