Black Friday and Thanksgiving Take 2

This was the first year in almost 5 years that I have not ventured out on Thanksgiving night for the Black Friday extravaganza. I opted to stay home this year. I lose enough sleep with a 6 month old...I don't need additional sleep loss!
I did venture out with Mom on the day after and wow! There were a ton of people out this year. We waited in line in Kohls for 1 hour. I scored big time though, so it was worth it.
Sweet Rob went too. He is the best baby. Like for real. I picked up this toy in the dollar aisle at Target to keep him busy because it was $1. Poor thing. I realized later that it was a chew toy! Third child problems!

Friday night, we had dinner with my side of the family. My sister was unable to come home for Thanksgiving...boo. So it was a pretty quite evening. Still memorable though.
Mom gave the kiddos Christmas PJ's, so of course we had to try them on...Pretty cute, if I do say so!

Thanksgiving Day

We headed to Manchester for Thanksgiving Day. Just like we have done for the last 10 years. I love going to Manchester. Jesse's mom has a big family and there are always lots of people and lots of fun. The kiddos love it to because they have quite a few cousins and they love every opportunity to play with them. I tried so hard to get a decent picture of my three. I am pretty sure it is not going to happen for quite some time.
Miss Priss enjoyed Mema's homemade chex mix. I did too! Taking after her Momma! I say every year that I am going to get her recipe! It is the best I have ever had!
Sweet Mema had only seen Rob twice since his birth, so she held him quite awhile on Thanksgiving. He loved it and I don't think she minded either!
It was a lovely day filled with food, family, and fun. I am so thankful for all of my blessings that the Lord has given me and I am thankful for another year.

Thanksgiving Break

This past week was Thanksgiving break. We had the whole week off of school. The children and I were so excited. I miss them terribly while they are at school all day, so I was looking forward to 10 days of having them at home. On Sunday night, Caroline and I were so excited that she did not have school tomorrow, that we engaged in a little Pinteresting. We made an Indian headdress for her to wear to a party she was attending on Monday. It was so fun crafting with my sweet girl. I think we did a pretty good job!
On Monday, Caroline went to her sweet friend, Vivi's house. Her mom hosted a fabulous Thanksgiving play date, complete with Turkey craft. Talk about fun!
Tuesday found us playing at home and writing lists to Santa. I love that the kiddos still believe in the magic of Christmas. In fact, Will was making his list and he added a "truck" to his list for Jesse. He squealed with excitement that Jesse would be thrilled on Christmas morning. How innocent. If only it worked that way!
Mr. Rob is growing by the minute! I just cannot believe how big he is getting.

And on Wednesday, we headed to see Frozen with our cousins, Jack and Abby! So fun! The movie was amazing. I think it is my new Disney favorite!

My Birthday

This year we celebrated my birthday the day before. My parents took me out to dinner and my dad got me a yummy strawberry cake. Jesse had a Nashville overnight, so he came to Cool Springs to meet us at the restaurant. So fun!
On my actual birthday, Caroline and I attended a Little Mermaid party at our friend, Dana's house. We had lots of fun and I enjoyed spending some one on one time with my baby girl.

One the day after my birthday, I went to a Mom Son dance with Will. It was so much fun and I loved hanging out with my boy!
Such a great birthday! Here is to 33!!!

Happy Birthday Will

Will,

Today is your 7th birthday. Seven years ago, at 11:35, you made me the happiest woman alive. When I saw your beautiful face and heard the doctor say, “Boy”…I knew I would be smitten with you forever. You are all I could ever want in a child. You are tender hearted, you love others deeply, you find joy in small things, you are all boy, but have a sweet side! You are Momma’s little man,  Dad’s best buddy, your sister’s hero, and your little brother’s source of laughter. You started our family and you make a perfect big brother and oldest sibling. I love you so much and I look forward to celebrating many, many birthdays with you.

Love,

Momma

Will’s 7th Birthday Party

Today was Will’s 7th Birthday party! His favorite things are music and soccer, so we decided to have a DJ party/Soccer game. It was right up his alley! He had the best time running around jamming to tunes and playing soccer with his best buds. I cannot believe my man is 7. I am so proud of him and I loved every minute of celebrating him!
