Will’s Kindergarten Program
Today was Will’s Kindergarten program. They did such a sweet job. Will had a speaking part and I was so proud of him. The whole Kindergarten class did the Harlem Shake! So funny and the school all stood up and cheered. Will was so excited and I am so thankful that he has had such an amazing year!

Coming home!!!
Leaving the Hospital and Caroline’s Preschool Program
Today we were discharged from the hospital. Rob received a clean bill of health and he gets to go home with us and we get to keep him forever (in the words of the children)! As soon as we got home, we changed our clothes, ate lunch, and rushed to Caroline’s Preschool graduation. I mean, a post partum momma should not have to watch the slideshow of her child in a cap and gown set to super sappy music. The tears would not stop! I was so proud of her. She sang so well and when they asked her what she wanted to be when she grew up, she said a vet. Of course…sweet sister is crazy about some animals. I cannot believe that she is finished with Kids on the Korner. What a blessing it has been in our lives over the past two years. I am sad to leave…but excited that when Rob is ready for MDO…he has a special place to go!

Day 2: Rob

Our Sweet Baby BOY is here!
I woke up this morning at 4:45 am with my first contraction. At first I was not even sure that this was labor, as this was 10 days before my due date and I have never gone into labor. I laid in bed for about an hour. They were about ten minutes apart, so I thought I would take a quick shower and then wake Jesse. By the time I finished my shower, I woke Jesse, and the contractions were about six minutes apart. I called my Mom, so that she could come and stay with the children, so that we could rush to the hospital. By the time Mom arrived, they were about four minutes apart. Mom came to the house and I was already in the car! I was ready to go because they were getting quite intense! Jesse was amazing. He got me to the hospital in record time. Because it was rush hour, he put his flashers on and drove down the side of the highway. I normally, hate when people do that, but this time I appreciated it! When we arrived to the hospital(around 7:30am) they put me in a room and checked me and I was dilated to a 7. They rushed my labs, put in an IV, and within 30 minutes (around 8:30) I had my epidural. Relief at last! Now, I can enjoy waiting on my baby. The picture above is obviously after the epidural! Dr. Sizemore arrived and we though the baby would be here by 10. Well, the little guy/girl was taking its precious time! Around 11:45, it was time and my sweet precious baby BOY was born at 12:26 pm. Robert Alison Pilkinton weighed 7 pounds 15 ounces and 20 1/2 inches long. We are calling him Rob. We are in love! We were thrilled that he was here and healthy. Soon, our family came in to see the baby, after the children revealed what the baby was. Caroline was a little upset and even asked if we could get a girl next time! HA! I think she will soon be head over heels. Will was amazing, he wanted to hold him as soon as he could.
