Easter Sunday

Today was Easter. What a great day it was. Not only was it the day we celebrate family and tradition, but it is the day we, as believers celebrate, our Risen Savior. I woke up this morning feeling so thankful and so grateful that I have a relationship with my King. I am thankful for his sacrifice and that I will someday live with him eternally. We headed to church to praise and worship our Savior and then we spent the day with Jesse’s family and the evening with my family. I did not take nearly enough pictures to accurately depict the fun we had. That night we watched the final episode of The Bible at my parents house. It was amazing to see the connection Will made and how powerfully it impacted him. He is talking about baptism and being saved and I could not be happier. I know when the time is right, the  Lord is going to do mighty things with his little life and Caroline’s life too.

Egg Hunts

Our church had it annual egg hunt and the rain held off long enough for the kids to hunt a few ton of eggs. They both were really into it this year, especially Will. He was coaching his little sister on which eggs to grab and how to open the eggs properly, so he was ready when it was his turn! He was adamant that he was going to get a prize egg like he did last year. Before the hunt, he scouted out the golden egg. He had set his sights on that baby. The only problem was, so had everyone else! When they blew the whistle, he took of running and a kid ran right into him and they both fell on the ground and the precious prize egg was scooped up by a girl. Will was mortified. It almost blew his hunt. He could hardly focus to grab any eggs. He recovered and ended up filling his basket to the brim. Poor guy. Caroline made out like a bandit too. We have way to much candy!!!!

After the church egg hunt, we headed to my parent’s church egg hunt. I grew up hunting eggs in this very same yard, so it is a must every year! The kids had practiced this morning, so they were ready. Will was bound and determined to get the prize egg at all cost! And he did! He was so excited. Caroline was so excited too, she found 28 eggs!!!

Annual Egg Dyeing picture

We dyed eggs in Florida with Jen over Spring Break, but my kids were in no way letting me off the hook! We had bought a dye kit a couple of weeks ago and I had to hide it so they would not ask every day! I bought a glitter kit and a marble kit. Neither worked like they should have…but that did not stop our fun! I love this tradition as a child and it is so fun to be able to share in the fun with my own children!

Lila had a precious 5th birthday party. It was an adorable tea party. Caroline had never been to a tea party, so she was quite excited! Emily pulled out all the stops and as you can see it was so sweet!
