Caroline Lately

I am so enjoying spending time with this girl lately. This Spring, I am not working as much as I did in the Fall,so I have been able to spend lots of quality time with this sweet baby over the past couple of weeks. We are probably going to send her to Kindergarten next year, so I am soaking up this one on one time with her. She is my buddy, we run errands together, watch TV together, play with her doll house together, and even  go to the gym together. She is so fun to be around and I believe I would say this even if I was not her Momma! She is always creating art projects or playing dress up and it is so sweet to see her little mind at work.

She loves to draw in the car. She will draw on anything. This is a picture of our family. She even drew the baby in this picture!

The other day she decorated my hand with face paint. She drew a picture of us and wrote “Mom” . I love that girl!

Yesterday I took Nonni to the airport to fly to Orlando to see Aunt Jen. We dropped Caroline off at school and she was talking about how she wanted to go visit Aunt Jen too! When we came home from MDO, she put on her new bathing suit and wanted me to send a picture to Nonni and Jen. I think somebody wants to go to the sunshine!

Skate Time

Today I went to Will’s gym class to help out with their latest activity. I love Will’s school for many reasons, but one huge reason is they do so many fun activities in their PE class. I went to high school with his PE teacher and she is amazing. Not only is she hilarious, she loves and cares about those children.  A couple of weeks ago, Will brought home a permission slip for roller skating in PE. Instantly, I thought this sounded so fun! I loved to tear up the roller rink in my day, so I thought this was a fabulous idea! A couple of days later, we got a note asking for parent volunteers to help with the roller skating activity during their PE time. So, I signed up for today. When I arrived there were a couple of other mothers there to help out. I tell you what…it was good for this Momma’s soul. I was in desperate need of a good belly laugh and boy, did I get a couple. I had no clue, how clueless Kindergartners were! Gym class is around 50 minutes, it took a good 15 to pass out and put skates on and this was with 4 parent volunteers! Then we put on the knee and wrist guards and it was time to get their roll on! They turn the lights out and on the ceiling there was a disco ball! How fun! It looks fancy in the picture because they were having a Daddy/Daughter dance that night. They turned on the latest hits from Justin Bieber and added some old school “Who Let the Dogs Out” and those kids took off… Well, some of them. Some spent more time on the ground! It was truly so funny! They were able to skate for about 5 songs and then it was time to go through the whole take off process again. I even had one child forget what his Tennis shoes looked like. Bless those PE teachers and Kindergarten teachers. I am so thankful that my sweet boy goes to such a wonderful school and is loved by those who care for him while he is away from his Momma!

Student Teacher of the Day

Today Will was Student Teacher of the Day. I am not really sure what that entails but I do know that he got the most adorable book made my his classmates. I am guessing his teacher uses it to help them practice writing sentences and learning to spell words. I loved looking at each picture and seeing what they thought of my sweet boy! I cannot believe he is a “school aged” child. When I was studying childhood development in my Masters, I remember thinking it will be a while before I had a school aged  child! Now I have a Kindergartener who has been in school for 4 1/2 months! I am so proud of him and I love that little guy so much!

Phone Drop

Because I found these pictures on my phone and I cannot remember the actual date I took them…

My best friend, Christy, sent me these two sleep sacks! These adorable light weight blankets and sleep sacks were not around when my other two were born, so I cannot wait to put this one in one of these! Wonder which it will be? The adorable monkeys or the pink elephants????

We have had some warm weather (when it hasn’t been raining) this month, so one night Jesse set up the Eno and the kids were going to camp out in it! HA. That lasted about five minutes!

After bath time the other night, these two wanted to wear their towels like Mommy and Daddy! Hope this does not leave you with a bad mental picture! Aren’t they cute?

Caroline has been on a homeschooling kick! For those of you that know me well, you will laugh at this! I am not really the homeschooling type and I have a difficult time coming up with activities to keep her busy. She loves it though, so that makes me happy!

It’s a BOY!!! Brand new cousin!

This morning we headed to the hospital to see what our Aunt Rachel and Uncle John’s baby would be. We all placed guesses on the gender and on the weight! Will and Caroline guessed BOY and Jesse and I guessed GIRL. Well, this time the kiddos were right! Baby Stovall #3 is a BOY! He is adorable! Jack and Abby were so excited to tell us and as you can see everyone is so excited! I am bummed because we had to leave shortly after his birth because of Flu visitation restrictions. No children, with the exception of siblings, can visit baby. But I have loved getting pictures and hopefully when they go home we can go love on our new baby! What a blessing he will be to our family!!!

The children got a trampoline for Christmas. It has not been super duper cold, but it has rained an awful lot for January, so we have not been able to use the trampoline as much as the children would have liked. Well, today was beautiful! No rain!  The kids loved jumping on the trampoline with Jesse! I cannot wait until after the baby is born to jump on the trampoline. I used to love it as a child. Hey, and maybe it will help me take off the baby weight Smile!

22 weeks

486952_10200391934743693_932554609_n

How far along? 22 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: Did not weigh this week

Maternity clothes? Yep…

Stretch marks? Not yet and hopefully, never!

Sleep: Sleeping is great when I fall asleep, lately it seems I don’t get tired at my normal bedtime, so I am staying up late! NOT good, that seems to be when I get hungry too!

Best moment this week: Having my sweet sister in town. We have had so much fun! We have worked out, hung out, and ate out! Ha!

Movement: I feel the baby all the time. The kicks are so defined now and I am loving it. It is also very reassuring!

Food cravings: Not really craving anything!

Anything making you queasy or sick: If I do not eat on time, I feel super sick. I have still thrown up a couple times a week. This is very different from my 1st and 2nd pregnancy.

Have you started to show yet: YES. I feel big!

Gender prediction: Our Baby is a SURPRISE!!!

Belly Button in or out? In!

Wedding rings on or off? On!

Happy or Moody most of the time: Very happy, I have had lots of family time this week and it has been fun!

Milestones: Feeling the baby moving more and having our big ultra sound last week!

How far along? 21 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: Still at 10 lbs!

Maternity clothes? Yep…

Stretch marks? Not yet and hopefully, never!

Sleep: Sleeping like a baby this week! I had the flu all last week, so I am still recovering!

Best moment this week: We had our big ultrasound today! I am in love with my baby’s profile. He/she is so stinking sweet. It has Will’s mouth and Caroline’s nose. Now if I just knew what it was!!!

Movement: Movement is becoming very regular and I am loving it!

Food cravings: Nothing, just glad that I  can eat this week!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing really this week.

Have you started to show yet: I am getting big!

Gender prediction: Our Baby is a SURPRISE!!!

Belly Button in or out? In!

Wedding rings on or off? On!

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy to be feeling great this week.

Milestones: Our baby weighed 14 ounces at 21 weeks and was deemed a squirmy worm by the Ultrasound tech! I was hoping for a laid back baby this time! Oh well!

Baby Pilkinton #3

528899_10200391932303632_1346198786_n

After having to cancel our appointment last Thursday, I thought it would be a long time before we were able to see our baby’s sweet little face, but they worked us in for our big ultrasound quickly. Here is a picture of Baby Pilkinton #3. Ahhh, I am in love. We got a great report and we feel so blessed. We did not find out the gender, so we plan on being surprised in MAY! The baby was so squirmy, she said she had a difficult time getting him/her to show the gender! We got a DVD this time, so it was fun to let the kids watch it and they are just bursting with excitement. The baby weighted 14 ounces and measured exactly to my due date, which the ultrasound tech said was “unusual, but wonderful”! Thanks to all our family and friends who are sharing in our excitement. We cannot wait to share our new baby with you!

The FLU! BOO!

I came down with the Flu Type A yesterday. I wasn’t really sure that it was the flu at first considering I had taken the shot, but as it progressed I was pretty sure. We were supposed to have our 20 week ultrasound today and I was so excited to see the baby. We are not going to find out the gender, but it still is so sweet to see their little face! So, instead of seeing our sweet baby this morning, I was sitting on an exam table! Jesse has been great the past couple of days and I appreciate him so much! I am hopefully going to be on the mend soon. I never thought I would say this, but I am actually tired of laying in the bed or sitting on the couch! Ha!

This was my view for almost three days!

I then was able to progress to the couch!

My little artist…

For the most part, Caroline is a very obedient child. She doesn’t rock the boat too much. Not sure if that is a personality trait or being the second child. However, lately, we have been having a little trouble with markers! A month or so ago, Caroline decided to take a permanent marker and draw a mural on our beige carpet in her bedroom. I am not exaggerating when I say mural. I was at work and Jesse and Mom worked for three hours to get the permanent marker out of the carpet… we had a long chat and I thought that was the end of her artwork.

Boy was I wrong! I got home from today and this is what I found. The picture just really does not do it justice. This is also after a bath! Thank goodness it is January and we are wearing pants. I think little Miss Picasso is on marker probation!
