Last year, my sweet friend, Emily, and I were talking about how fun it would be to get the kids involved in helping others during the holiday. Our children are so blessed and because of this we can share our time, love, and money with others less fortunate. This year Emily had the great idea of taking the children to visit a nursing home facility and participate in a fun engaging project with the residents. She was able to get Publix to donate gingerbread house kits for the children to help the residents decorate. Each family represented brought a gift to give one of the residents and we made crafts to share too. The children had a blast. The Mommas did too. It was so touching to watch our little babies love on those older people. Everyone involved was blessed. I couldn’t help but cry when I think of spending the holidays in a facility like this away from those I love. I hope, if even for a couple of hours, we were able to bring a smile to their faces and share the love and joy we have through Christ. I hope this is an annual event because it really jump started my holiday!

Thanksgiving
Last night we announced to friends and family that we were expecting a new baby. A couple of weeks ago, we had pictures made by a photographer and she put this together for us! It was so fun to hear the surprise in people’s voices and to read the comments on Facebook. We are so happy and excited!
Thanksgiving Day, we headed to Manchester to spend the day with Jesse’s family! The kids had so much fun! They loved playing outside and just hanging out with each other. The girls chased Ethan around all afternoon! He was the King and they were the princesses. It is hard to believe that there will be at least two new babies next year…maybe more
That night Mom and I headed out for Black Friday shopping! We were successful once again!!! We make a great team!

Thanksgiving, a Birthday, and a Baby
Tonight we celebrated Thanksgiving with my side of the family. It was also my 32nd birthday, and we shared some pretty exciting news! News we have known since Sept. 11!!! Sept. 11 was our 8th anniversary and that afternoon, we found out we were expecting baby #3! We have waited until we had an ultrasound to share it with the kids and once we did we told them! We are now excited and very thankful to share our news with all of our family and friends! What an amazing birthday present. We had so much fun telling Nannie and Papa the news at dinner. They were so shocked and the children loved surprising them!
Sweet Aunt Jen and Nannie
Papa looks shocked!!!
We are going to have a baby!
So fun celebrating all that we have to be thankful for!

Happy 60th Anniversary
Today, this sweet pair celebrated 60 years of marriage. Wow. What an accomplishment, when you really think about it. When I think of my grandparents one word comes to mind.
Devotion.
I have never seen two people more devoted to each other. They truly live out the word on a daily basis. As I watch them in these later years of their lives, I am so honored to share in these experiences with them, for I know that time with them is going fast. They are such an example of true love. The type of love you read about in the Bible. My grandfather loves my grandmother like Christ loves the Church. He puts her first and will not be away from her more than 30 minutes daily. My sweet grandmother respects my grandfather. She follows where he leads. I am so thankful for their example for my own marriage and I am blessed daily watching them walk out a true love story. Happy Anniversary Nannie and Papa and here is to many more wonderful years!!!
My mom had them a sweet little reception at their church to celebrate. They loved every minute of it!

Will’s First School Program
Today was Will’s first school program. It was a Thanksgiving program and his class dressed up like turkeys! I thought this suited him perfectly! It was such a cute play and they discussed traditions, talked about the First Thanksgiving, and sang songs. Will also had a speaking part and he recited it perfectly! Jesse was out of town for his program, so I videoed and it and Will had watched it a couple of times. He gets such a kick out of seeing himself on TV! After the play, we celebrated at Sweet Cece’s. Another Kindergarten milestone in the books. They are happening TOO FAST!!!

6 years old
Will,
Today is your 6th birthday. I truly cannot wrap my head around it. Dad and I were talking the other night about life before you…we both agreed that while we loved being together, our life began the day we had you. You solidified our family. You made a relationship, a family. There are so many things I love about you. You are so kind hearted and sensitive. You love your family and your sister whole-heartedly. You love to run and play outdoors. You are so smart and I love seeing you learn so much this year. You bring happiness into our days and your smile is contagious. There are so many character traits in you that I wish that I possessed. I am honored to be your mother and I am so thankful that you were chosen for our family. Always know that God has a big plan for your life and love him with all your heart. I am so proud of you and I cannot wait to see you grow this year!!!
Love,
Your Momma

Super Birthday
We celebrated Will’s 6th birthday today! I cannot believe it. I mean really, SIX. Where in the world has the time gone? He chose a Super Hero theme, which suited this Momma, because it was super easy. I went low key on the decorations and food, but splurged on the favors. A while back on Pinterest, I saw Super Hero capes…I then went to a super fun birthday that my friend threw for her little boy and she gave those same capes out. So, I knew then, that those had to be the favor! My sweet, sweet Mom helped me by sewing the capes and we also found fun super hero party favors…so needless to say, we had some SUPER happy little boys. Jesse was in charge of the games and the Lord blessed us with a 70 degree day! It was actually one of my favorite parties that he has ever had. Here are some pics from the party!
