Memorial Day Weekend

Jesse had to work most of the Memorial Day weekend, so Saturday we went swimming with Bebe , Nonni, Kiki, and baby Charlotte! It was great fun. We took our lunch and enjoyed checking out Bebe’s new neighborhood pool. Her pool is so fun and has great snack bar…with ICees!!! I think we might have to go back to Bebe’s pool for sure!!!

Sunday night we went to stay with Jesse at the hotel. It was so fun! We loved swimming at the pool, going out to dinner, and going to Opry Mills. It felt like a mini vacation! Here the kids are at breakfast. We woke up early to eat with him before he left for his first flight!

Jesse’s Birthday was Friday…the big 33. Wow! He and I went out to dinner on Wednesday night to celebrate.

He quite honestly could still pass for a college student!

Friday night we celebrated Jesse’s real birthday with Rachel and John. I forgot my camera, so I don’t have any pictures. We had the best time though!

Saturday, Caroline went to a Princess party at her friend’s house. She was so excited. I loved hearing all about it!!

They also had a Tee Ball game on Saturday…I had to work. Boo. So I missed the trophy ceremony. Here they are with their trophies! Caroline was so proud!

I just let them come…

Will graduated from preschool this afternoon. I woke up early and made his favorite, blueberry muffins, with a candle on top just for the occasion. I tried to busy myself making lunches for school and getting them dressed and getting their teeth brushed. I got our nap  mats and bags in the car and even remembered the juice boxes that I signed up to take. I drove to school pretending this was like the other 57 mornings before this one. I walked down the hallway, we dropped Caroline off, like we do every school day, and we made our way to Will’s classroom and then it happened. The tears that I tried so hard to push deep down, spilled over. Tears are like that, they just spring out, you can’t hold them back, even if you try. So, I just let the come and I also let those memories come too. Telling Jesse we were pregnant with our first child, seeing his little blurry face on the ultrasound, and the Dr. shouting that  he was a boy. They just kept popping in my head, one by one, Will talking and walking, becoming a big brother, playing his first soccer game, telling me he loved me for the first time. And there we were, making a new memory. Walking hand in hand, I was delivering him to his last day at preschool. What an honor and a privilege to be present for so many wonderful moments in a child that the Lord has given me. So, today I cried tears. Tears of sadness, tears of joy, but most of all tears of extreme and utter gratitude. I am so proud of the child that he has become and honestly it has had very little to do with me. The Lord has been gracious to us.

Will, you are a blessing and I am so thankful that I am your mommy. It is a job that I do not take lightly. Thank you for sharing this day with me and I pray that we have many more milestones together. YOU MAKE US PROUD.

Catch Up…

I have sort of been a slacker these past week, I have had a major cold and have went to bed early every night, therefore missing my blogging time. So here is what we have been up too…

I FINALLY graduated with my Masters in Nursing Education…it only took me almost six years and two children later. Never less, I am finished and I am so happy! I have literally been taking a class for almost five years, it was always looming in the back of my mind what assignment was due or when was my next clinical. I have so enjoyed the past week and a half because I literally do not have to think about school!

I ended up not walking. I had planned too. Then life happened. Tee ball games and birthday parties and I didn’t really need to sit in a huge room for two hours to “feel” like I graduated.

So I took a picture at the beach in case I didn’t walk…

When we arrived home from the beach, Jesse came home the next day. We were so happy to see him and he had an amazing time. We ended up going out to eat with the Wallkers and just hanging out. It was so fun

Last Sunday, (not Mother’s Day) we went to baby Charlotte’s Baby dedication! Precious. She is such a blessing to our family and we just love her and thank God for her!552853_3919682833263_1315317255_3587593_2128764693_n

Friday night, we went to Rachel’s house to celebrate Mother’s Day with Bebe! This is the only picture I took. Bad Mommy!

How yummy is she!!! I love this age!

Will finished up his fourth season of soccer. I had to work, so I was not able to come to the game to commemorate it in pictures. Boo. He got a trophy and was really proud of himself!

Caroline is still playing tee ball and she really does like it. I have enjoyed coaching her team and getting to see her in action!

Mother’s Day was wonderful. I loved being celebrated and celebrating the blessings that God has given me in my two beautiful children. I love them so much. Jesse was sweet to me too, and before he left for his trip, surprised me with a dozen roses, a gift card to P.F. Changs, and a card. I am blessed! We also celebrated with Nannie and Mom at lunch. I am so blessed to have such an amazing heritage in women in family.  These are my two cutie pies. Caroline blinks just like me ALL THE TIME!!!

Monday was dance and since it was rainy, we headed to the mall and ate at Chick fil a and then played at the playground. I love these three and instagram. How cute is this picture!544963_3973926789328_1315317255_3611966_154500970_a

Will graduates from preschool tomorrow. The tears actually started yesterday when his teacher sent home all of his end of the year stuff and she wrote a note saying she would miss him next year and that he was “a really great kid”. I am going to miss that child terribly next year.

So that is what is happening in our little world.
