Florida…Day Two

Well, day two proved to be every bit as much fun as day one, except the kids were even more tired! Caroline did not nap all day and we did not end up eating dinner until around 7:00. Sister was GRUMPY!!! We had played on the beach all day and decided to do a little photo session before dinner. BIG mistake. Caroline would not smile and ended up receiving a consequence for her attitude. FUN times! Will did well and all was fine when we arrived at the restaurant. We ate at Margarita*ville. The kids loved it! They even had their first Shirley Temples to drink! After dinner we moseyed on down to the game/ride portion of Pier Park. The boys were given a free turn at the shooting arcade and we were on our way to the merry go round, when they closed. Let’s just say that Caroline freaking out was an understatement. Gotta love three year olds! Warning…extremely picture heavy!

Florida Day One

Jesse left for Nicaragua early Saturday morning. We had soccer and tee ball all day, so we did not leave for Florida until Sunday morning. We woke up early around 4 am and hit the road! Mom, Emily and her two kids, and my children and I all rode in one vehicle! Wow, we were packed! We made pretty good time (minus the hour following the GPS tacked on) and arrived around 1:00 pm. In years past we have rented in Seagrove, Florida, but the condo we normally rent, was booked. So, we had to find a place based solely on internet pictures…which we all know can be staged. Anyhoo, we found a great place that was very nice at the edge of Panama City, almost to Rosemary Beach. We ate lunch and hit the BEACH!!! After the beach, we ordered pizza and headed to bed, tired from a day of traveling and sun!

Field Trip to the Farm and my favorite little “animal”

Yesterday,  Will went on a field trip to a local dairy. It was super fun. We saw cows and chickens, saw where milk comes from, and drank a little chocolate milk. It was the first time I have ever been the  “parent” on the field trip. I hope this is the first of many times accompanying my little man on adventures with school. He was so sweet to me and kept wanting to hold my hand. I love one on one time with him, since it doesn’t happen that often. It was interesting, but when the tour guide started talking about the beef cows that were “waiting to go to slaughter”…it made me think about becoming a vegetarian!

There were lots of milk crates that made perfect blocks for stacking!
