Happy Birthday Sister!

If you don't understand how a woman could both love her sister dearly and want to wring her neck at the same time, then you were probably an only child. ~Linda Sunshine

Today is my little sister's 25th birthday. She is such a blessing in my life and I am so proud of her and so thankful for her gift of friendship. Growing up because of our age difference we fought like cats and dogs...now she is truly my best friend. I hope today is a wonderful day filled with wonderful memories because you, little sister, are truly wonderful!

Easter Sunday

I have spent many Easter Sundays in front of this building. I have spent many Easter Sundays with these same people (minus a really important person). I have sang songs much like the ones I sang on this particular Easter Sunday and I have prayed prayers just as I prayed today. Some people may not like predictable. I do. I love that my Jesus can be counted on. Years will pass, I will age in these pictures, the children will grow, and times will change. The best part of Easter is the Easter Story will NEVER change. Jesus died for me and that is a promise that will never change. Happy Easter.

Egg Hunt Numero Dos

One hour after the first egg hunt ended...we headed to my parent's church Easter egg hunt for a little more hunting action. I have grown up hunting eggs at this Easter egg hunt, so it was really special seeing Will and Caroline carry on the tradition! This was an action packed day, but we wouldn't have it any other way!

Egg Hunt at Church

Every year our church hosts a spectacular egg hunt and this year was the same! The kids had a blast and it was fun to hang out with friends and celebrate!

Easter Bunny

Will, I am telling you...He came!

Big Brother and his basket

Sweet Sister

This year the Easter Bunny came to our house on Saturday. It was by default this year because Jesse had to go to work early Sunday morning, but we discussed it and I think that we will make this a tradition. I love celebrating the Easter Bunny, but it is not the true meaning of this holiday and I want my children to understand that. But it was nice to see that the bunny didn't forget us!

Thanks Mrs. Amber for helping the E.B. "find" those little bunnies! They were a huge hit!

Birthday Cookout

Jen and Trey came home this weekend for Easter. It was so fun. You can see what the guys did! We had a little cook out to celebrate Jen turning 25!!! It was a relaxing night. We grilled, read the Resurrection story- eggs, and had a bonfire. Good times. Great way to prepare for Easter!

Fancy

Watermark...this is for my sweet friend Emily. She will get a kick out of this:)

I love Kelly's Korner. If you blog, you are quite familiar with her...if you don't well, she is right up their with Pioneer Woman and MckMama...In fact when I grow up in blogger land, I want to be her. Until then, I am just going to pretend to be blog savvy like her. She got all fancy and started watermarking her pictures to protect them. She is important and has Billions of followers. I have 22. I guess you can never be too careful though. So, I am going to start protecting my pics...cause even though I am not important to the blog world...my peeps are important to me. Happy Thursday!!!

First Haircut

Today was Caroline's first haircut...no, I am not kidding. I know she is fastly approaching three and this may not make very much sense, but I am telling the truth. Sweet girl doesn't have very much hair, so I have been so hesitant to cut what little she has, so my mom trims it ever so often...but I decided it was time to get the real deal. You can see by her unhappiness that this was a first. I took her to one of those walk in places...I think afterwards they were just praying we would walk out. Krystal, the hairdresser was so sweet, she gave me the spill about how "she loves cutting kids hair" and "Caroline will do just fine". I think halfway through, Krystal was wishing that she had passed on little Miss Caroline. Krystal looks stressed in this picture. So was Caroline.
Look at Krystal's face... I think she is thinking how fast can I really cut this little girl's hair...

Caroline was unhappy!

But look how adorable it turned out. It was worth it. I think.

Happening Friday Night

Can you see the excitement...We have waited all week for our Aunt Jen to come in town to "color" these eggs...Yes, I say "color" these eggs cause that is what a good Southern girl would say. Baby sister still lives the exciting newlywed life. She was less than impressed that it was Meatloaf night and Easter Egg Decorating Extravaganza...but she played along and I think she even had a little fun.

This guy loved decorating eggs!

This little sweet thing had a blast. She would have colored two dozen...however, I hate to waste the eggs (I mean I guess it isn't a total waste, but still) so I don't even like to color a whole dozen...

Mommy and Will...Jesse is watching a soccer game that he DVR'd thankful that my sister is volunteering with the art project!
