The Big One

Check this big guy out! Jesse killed this 9 pointer the day before Thanksgiving. These guys were so excited...me, not so much. Why you ask? Word on the street is that "he" is getting mounted and hung. That will be another post for another day. I am not going to worry about that right now, for now...I am proud of my guy!

FOUR

Posted by Picasa

I was in a play in kindergarten where we had to recite this poem. I loved this poem, even back then and now that I have a sweet little best friend, it has a even deeper meaning for me now.

Best friends should be together
That's how it ought to be
So let's pretend I'm part of you
And you are part of me.

If I were a little shoe, I could be your heel.
If I were a little pig, I would be your squeal.
If I were a little peach, I could be your fuzz.
If I were a bumble bee, I would be your buzz.

Four years ago this very day, the Lord was too good to me. I mean, He is always gracious to me, giving me way more than I will ever deserve...but on November 13, 2006...I knew true joy and a real live little best friend was born. Will brings Jesse and I joy in so many ways but I think we would both agree...out of all the wonderful things he means to us...being our best buddy is on the top of the list. He loves to climb up in your lap and love on you, he snuggles you all night if you would let him, and he will make you feel like you are the most special person in the world when he says "Mom, I really do love you". It is his little gift and today, more than ever, I feel so blessed to be a part of this little guy's life and I am so thankful for his presence. Each day with you Will, is a gift. Thank you for being YOU!

New Birthday tradition

Mom and dad started a new birthday tradition this year. They took Will to lunch and to pick out any toy he wanted from Target. He was so excited, he had been talking about it forever, but when it came time for him to go on his special birthday date, alone, with his grandparents...he was sad. I asked him why he was sad and he said, "I want my sister to go to, cause I love her". Melt my heart. They really do love each other:) So, guess who went on the special birthday date...Caroline. I think they still had lots of fun. Thanks Nonni and Poppy!

Any toy? You mean it?

Look who came away with a little gift of her own!

Will's Fourth Birthday...Bowling style

This year Will wanted a "big boy birthday". He said he was four so he needed a big party. Having a November birthday, the options were limited, so on the advice of my SIL, Rachel, we decided a bowling party was the way to go! We had a couple of little guy friends at the bowling alley and couple of their little sisters too. He had the best time. I was amazed at how nice the bowling alley was!

Wordless Wednesday...Sick day style

Today we had a sick day...this was difficult because only one of us was sick...ME. We watched the Princess and the Frog twice, colored, did projects, took a 2 1/2 hour nap, and stayed up playing dress late because we had napped so long! I love these two...they know how to make even a sick day fun:)

Princess Caroline and Cowboy Will (Yes, they have Kool Aid mustaches, beverage of choice for a sick day)

Will's first attempt at taking a picture! Had to be black and white because I looked so sickly!

Brotherly and Sisterly love
