For the past five years, we have gone to church for the Fall Festival. This year, we decided to accept the invitation to Rachel and John's house (my SIL and BIL) for their annual Halloween Party and Trick or Treat. We had the best time. Will loved running from house to house screaming "Trick or Treat"! Caroline had another version, she would shout..."Trick or Treat, smell my feet". Oh yes she did! Thank you Dad for teaching her that! She definitely got away with it because she was so little, next year we are going to have to work on that!

Happy Halloween from the Pirate family! Check out Caroline...she really has her pirate face on:)

Fall Party with Friends

We attended a Fall Party at a super sweet friend's house. She is the hostess with the mostess! Her parties are always fun and we love hanging out with Kelly and her adorable children. Will's little soccer friend Buzz Lightyear, also known as Mason, was there and Will was so excited to see him.

Go Preds!

Check out these two handsome guys! They are on there way to Will's first Hockey game. Jesse's Aunt Crea and Uncle Alan gave Will and Jesse tickets on the glass. Jesse was so excited that we spent a good portion of the day trying to find a Pred shirt that was small enough for Will...you know, you must have a shirt for the game (in the words of his father). So finally after searching almost every sporting store in Franklin, we settled on this one.
Caroline has no clue she is not going to the game too. She did eventually realize it and was not very happy about the situation.

Fang Fingers!!!

Thanks Crea and Alan! Will and Jesse had the best time!

Better late than never...Dollyw*od Adventure

I have been to Gatlinburg probably almost 50 times...I have never been to Dollywo*d...so we decided that since Will and Caroline were free, it was a good time to try it out. I was very impressed with this amusement park. It was Harvest Fest, so there were lots of additional things to do. The water rides were obviously closed but all in all, it was a wonderful day! Check out our day in pictures.

There is a 50's area and it has lots of old cars. It has an old Tow truck, Cop car, and T-Bird. Will was convinced that we had seen ToMater, Sheriff, and Flo...I did not convince him otherwise.

Caroline loved driving Nonni around. She was actually a pretty good little driver and she was driving her favorite color!

Please check this picture out:) Nonni was hesitant to get on this ride:) but I think she is enjoying it, don't you?

Caroline driving a pig and red headed kid that is too old to be on this ride!

There is not much you can say about this scary little hot dog.

This was how our early afternoon went...this was Mommy's time to ride all the large rollercoasters and wow, did they have some fun ones!

We had to ride the train!

By the time the park closed at 6 pm, we were all ready to go! But we sure did have fun!!

Gatlinburg Getaway Part 1

For Fall Break we were itching to go on a little getaway. Jesse had to work, so Mom and I loaded up the car and headed to one of my most favorite places...yes, I know that is sort of redneck...Gatlinburg! There is nothing like G-burg in the FALL...something about pancakes, candy kitchens, the sky lift, and beautiful trees. For those of you who "get" what I am talking about, we headed straight to the parkway for a little downtown fun:)Will was dying to ride the sky lift...NO WAY...so we compromised on the Ober sky car. They both loved it.

If you aren't feeling the Gatlinburg love yet, check out this photo op...scarecrows and cornstalks and pumpkins, OH MY!

Next, Will spotted "golf", he would not let up...so we caved. We caved and played treasure golf, with a two and three year old. Let's just say there were some irritated people behind us! We did not obey the four stroke rule but we had fun.

We were having fun...until right about here. Caroline had never been "golfing" before. This is when she realized the last whole "eats" your ball.

Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanders or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.
Titus 2:3-5
I met this sweet friend 13 years ago. Her younger sister was my close friend and she was the older sister. It wasn't until quite a few years later I started calling her my friend, instead of "H's older sister". And what a friend she has become. Courtney has become such an amazing role model in my life and I feel incredibly blessed to be her friend. She isn't really that much older in years than me, but she has been such an amazing "older" woman example and I am so thankful for that. Court- I am going to miss your sweet smiling face, precious text messages, and encouragement. I love you friend and I am so proud of your new adventure. I know that you will be a blessing and be blessed.
