VBS #2

Will and Caroline have been on the VBS touring circuit this summer. They have loved it. We have been singing our hearts out for Jesus and I tell you, there is nothing sweeter. We have actually been looking into getting a second fridge to display all of the pictures and artwork that we have collected! I helped out with my childhood church's VBS. It was so fun. I love those women who have shaped my life and I had a great time spending four days with them. I was the music girl...I don't really have that great of a voice but when you grow up in a small church and they think you can sing...well, let's just say that is my job every year! On the final night we had a cute little program and it was sooo adorable. Those kids sang their hearts out and the crowd really enjoyed it. What a blessing, for a week, to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

VBS #1

Last week was VBS at church. It was a great success and the kids had so much fun. By the end of the week Will was a little unsure about pulling into the parking lot...again! He asked it we were going to "always do this everyday"! It was a long week but such a fun one. We sang, ate fun snacks, dressed up crazy, and learned about Jesus! Sunday night, Will was in the program. Caroline was too young, but you better believe that girl was singing from her seat! Afterwards, we cooled down with some popsicles! What a fun week!

Happy 80th Birthday

Sunday we celebrated my Grandfather's 80 years with a surprise party. It is pretty hard to pull one over on him, but we managed to pull it off. We celebrated with friends and family and celebrated a man that means so much to so many. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful example in my Grandfather. He has been so present in my life and has always encouraged and loved on me. I am honored to be his granddaughter. Happy Birthday Papa! We love you. Can't wait to celebrate 90!!!

We had the best Fourth of July...in fact, I think it might be my new favorite holiday. Who doesn't love to eat yummy food, swim all weekend, see beautiful fireworks, and celebrate our wonderful country? Thanks to all of our family who shared the weekend with us. We had a blast! Happy Fourth of July!!!

Look who came Home...

BRISTOL!!!

So, while I battled the stomach virus yesterday my little group went to visit this little beauty! She is finally home and in her family's arms. This has been amazing to see God's faithfulness unfold. We are so happy for Courtney and Joey and their whole family. So sad, I didn't get to see her but I can't wait to hold her soon!

*Had to borrow this pick, of course my group didn't take any pics!

23 wonderful months

Today is Caroline's 23 month birthday. I cannot believe I am already writing that sentence. It seems just yesterday that the nurse placed that little bundle of pink in my arms and now she is almost two??? She has been such a joy from the beginning. Just so I can remember, here are some things she "LOVES" right now...

You love Elmo. You are so excited when he comes on the T.V. You can't wait until your Elmo Birthday party and every little birthday we go to you ask, "My Elmo Party"?

You love to sing. You can be heard singing almost all of the time. Some of your favorites are, of course, Elmo's World, Baby Bumble Bee, You are My Sunshine, and Jesus Loves Me. Your singing is one of the sweetest sounds I know.

You love your brother. Really you do. You wake up in the morning and the first question out of your mouth is, "Where Will"? You are constantly saying "Wook Will" or "Will, Will". It is so sweet. I love watching the two of you play.

You love stuffed animals and you are starting to play with your baby dolls! I love it, you are kind of becoming girly, and that makes Mommy happy.

You love to eat. You will eat pretty much anything. A nice surprise since your brother is so picky!

You love your Daddy lots too. You are always wanting him to hold you.

We love you so much and we are so proud of you. You are truly a gift from above and we are so thankful for every day we have with you. Happy 23 months baby girl!

Mommy's Friends

Yesterday we went swimming with some of mommy's and Nonni's oldest friends/family. We try to get together every once in a while, but it always seems like it is too long in between visits. Ashley and Jessica are so dear to me and I love spending time with them. This time we celebrated Ashley turning the big 3-0 and Reagan's birth! We enjoyed swimming and playing and we can't wait to get together again really soon! Luke, Jessica's oldest, and Caroline had the best time splashing around, while Will swam laps around the pool. Mac wasn't feeling great but she was still being her sweet little self and Will, Jessica's youngest was Mr. Smiley. And last but certainly not least, sweet little Reagan was a perfect three week old angel, sleeping the whole time! Let's hang out soon girls!!

Teething Stinks

Two words...Teething Stinks.
My daughter has been a late bloomer where the teeth are concerned. She didn't get her first tooth until thirteen months. We are now 23 months and we still only have six teeth. However, this morning I have found quite a few little friends getting ready to surface. Needless to say, she is not happy!

Library Carnival Day

I love summer. I mean, I really love it. So many opportunites to be outside and enjoy good ole FREE fun!!! Today was the Carnival Fun Day at our local library. We met a few little friends there and had ourselves a great time. We dug for treasure, ran through the sprinker, feasted on hot dogs, and played a little dress up and this was all before noon!

Camping Adventure

Almost one month ago, we went on a camping trip with my grandparents and mom to a nearby state park. We loaded up my grandparents camper and our tent and headed off for a night in the great outdoors. We planned the trip on the spur of the moment and it rained cats and dogs that night when we arrived at the campground. However, we did not let that rain on our fun...we cooked hamburgers and hotdogs and Jesse even managed to get a fire started even with all the rain. We ate smore's and settled in for the night. It took the kids forever to fall asleep...I guess they were hyped up on all that chocolate and marshmellows! The next morning we walked, the kids rode their bikes, and we cooked breakfast. We were planning to swim at the park, so we all changed in our suits...this is where the trip went from really wet to HOT. Will had been playing all morning, loving the beautiful weather when all of a sudden he jumped barefoot into the fire pit. Needless to say our fun was cut short and we spent four hours in the emergency room. Thanks to all who prayed for us. His feet have healed nicely and he says he is ready to go camping again!
