NaCoMe

We went on a little three day vacation to one of my most favorite places on Earth. Growing up, I went to church camp in the backwoods of Centerville, TN for a week every summer. It was a highlight of the summer and once I was old enough I eventually became a counselor. A couple of months ago, the camp director asked me if I would like to come down and be the nurse for a couple of days and I jumped at the opportunity! My mom came along and my sister met us down there. My kids loved it and it was so sweet to see the love of the camp spill over into my children. We had so much fun just hanging out, singing about Jesus, and eating some very yummy camp food...in fact, I gained a pound!!! Here is our trip in pictures...

Carnival Time

The carnival, or "festival" (as Will so affectionately named it), came to town a couple of weeks ago. Will and Caroline was so excited and honestly, so was Mommy. I was really excited to take them and let them ride a few rides...the only problem was he was tall enough to ride, but Caroline was not. He was such a sweet and good big brother. He forfeited riding the rides because his sister could not. So we just went inside the mall and rode the carousel, escalator, and had a cookie! Will, I am really proud of the sweet big brother you are becoming!

Let's Go to the Beach

Wow, I am really behind!

The first week of May, Jesse went on a mission trip to Nicaragua. We headed to the beach. This was his third trip to Nicaragua and we just decided to go have ourselves a little fun. So my Mom, my sweet friend Emily, and our kiddos loaded up the car and headed to Seagrove...for a little quiet and relaxation...we never found that...but we did find...lots of fun! Midway through the week we were seriously questioning why we would think that three women should come to the beach with a three year old, two year old, one year old, and six month old... on the way home though, we had a serious case of amnesia. We are ready to go back! Here is a slideshow of our great adventure for your viewing pleasure.

Our newest addition

I knew Jesse would be a great Dad from the beginning.

With Will and Caroline...he was the best.

So, naturally, I knew he would be nurturing.

We are pleased to introduce to you...

OUR NEWEST ADDITIONS!!!

Check these "babies"out!!! Whoa. First "vegetables" of his labor. Way to go Honey! He has truly been like a father to the garden this summer and we can't wait to see how it grows!!!!!

Nonni loves Radishes...I mean, I am not sure the word "love" and "radishes" belong in the same sentence, but these are for you!!!

Congrats Nonni on your RETIREMENT!!! Let the fun begin!!!

Season is over:(

Well, soccer is over for this season. We had a blast and we had the greatest coaches. Will loved the game, the friends, and the trophy! I am so proud of him and his sweet teammates! After the game on Saturday, Mrs, Samantha brought cupcakes and we celebrated our "successful" season. Successful can be defined in many ways when it comes to a three year old soccer team! Oh, and his biggest fan might have got a cupcake too!

Easter

This Easter was special. It was the first one that Will was starting "to get it". We spent a coulde of weeks before talking about Jesus, the Crucifixion, and the Resurrection. As a parent, I am really delighted that he is grasping God's love, through His son Jesus. In fact, each time that we talked about it I fell more deeply in love with the story and became so grateful over and over for His great sacrafice.

We spent Easter morning with my parents at church and had an early lunch with my family and grandparents. We then went to Jesse's side of the family for an Easter egg hunt and lunch. The kids loved it and we enjoyed spending time with those we love on this special day. But the best part of today and every day is...HE IS ALIVE!

Happy Easter.

Delta

The word "delta" in mathematics means "change". Delta Delta Delta would mean "change, change, change". In some cases, that definition is perfect for this group of girls, but in another, it exactly the opposite. These girls were such a huge part of my life for four years. They saw me through lots of change. And although they are not a part of my everyday life, they are still in my heart and well, thate has not changed! We all got together this weekend for a fun relaxing, girls only trip and I can say, things have not changed. We laughed just as hard as we did in college, we ate just as much too, and we were just as sad to say goodbye this time too. Thanks girls for a wonderful weekend. I love you all.
