One night this week we stuffed eggs for the Easter Egg Hunt at church. When I was little, I loved helping my mom make treat bags or stuff eggs because I felt "big"! So, when Will asked to help...I couldn't resist!
Then, a second little helper came along.
This guy was the Egg closer, Caroline stuffed them with chocolate(I think she stuffed more in her mouth,) and I taped them shut.
We had quite the system! Now, we can't wait to hunt them!

Soccer Star

Will had his first game on Saturday. He was so excited. He has been asking all week about playing soccer. The day finally arrived, and well, he was less than excited. Don't let these cute pictures fool you. He was a stinker. He would kick the ball once and then decide he needed to come relax on the sidelines! He did score a goal though...for the other team! Good thing they don't keep score! Oh well, he is a winner in our book!

I am back...sort of

Well, I am back. I finally pulled into my driveway Sunday morning from El Salvador at 4:00 am. I was so exhausted, I simply fell in my bed! I was greeted the next morning by three people I missed terribly and I was also greeted by mounds of laundry:) (Honey, you are the best and you did a wonderful job holding down Fort P while I was gone).

I had a great time. I really did. My life and heart were changed forever...in fact, I think a piece of it stayed in El Salvador. I mean, I went expecting. Expecting great things from our Great God, like a closer relationship with him, deeper compassion for orphans, for small and large miracles. And, like He always does...He did NOT disappoint. But He really gave me so much more than I expected. I am going to share soon, I promise...but it is still a bit fresh and I am not sure I have really grasped all that the Lord gave me in El Salvador. I do know that I am so thankful to be adopted into the family of God.

Here is what went on at my casa while I was away...or so I was told:)

Favorite Foto Friday

Posted by Picasa

So, this is Favorite Foto Friday- Post a picture of my cute children, so I won't freak out cause I am leaving for seven days to go out of the country style.

It is here...the day I have been waiting for, ever since my heart leapt at the mention of this trip. I mean I really tried to ignore it, I thought...I have two small kids, a husband that has a difficult time getting long periods of time off work, and two jobs. Really? Could this really be the time? But as you all know, it is the time. God made sure of that. Listen to all the ways God showed up and showed out, as us Southern Folk say!

It was Belmont's Spring Break(job #2) and MTSU's Spring Break(where I am getting my Masters)...yep, that never happens.

God provided the $1800 in the form of awesome family members and friends.

Our team has been so blessed with donations and been loved on by so many various churches in the area.

So, there you have it. I won't be on here for awhile, but you can bet when I return... I am going to have some good stuff. Please pray for the mission, safe travels, for those adorable children, for God's word to penetrate their hearts, and our families we leave behind.

Here is a blog our team leader set up to update on our travels!

Caroline's Main Squeeze

My little girl has a crush. He is red and furry and can be found tagging along everywhere she goes. Really...she is quite obsessed. We now are those crazy people who collect things with the cartoon figures on it. Books, movies, shirts... you name it we are buying it. She loved this little shirt with Elmo* on it so much that she wore it for TWO days and she sat in the laundry room while it was being washed crying, "Emo, Emo". She was so sad. Oh, well, I guess there could be more obnoxious cartoon characters...
