We had big plans today… we were going to the park with friends. The day had other plans for us…so we played at home and hung out with our Daddy. However, we just couldn’t let the day end without visiting the park (I had told Will all day yesterday, “If you brush your teeth, we will go to the park tomorrow, “If you take a nap, we will go to the park tomorrow,…) So, we grabbed some McDon*lds and headed to the park for a little playtime! I was able to snap a few pics of the brother and sisterly love. They are becoming such good friends now and I love it!!!

What is "sewing on" ?

I did something today that I have waited since December to do.
I cracked open the box of a Christmas Present.
It had been staring at me for months; in fact it is a running joke between Jesse and I.
The kids were napping and I was, well, I try not to say this word often, BORED…
So, I decided to get creative…
And learn to sew. Yep, My mom gave me a beginners sewing machine for Christmas and I am just now finding the time, patience, and energy to tackle something new. So, I dusted off the box, spent almost an hour trying to figure out how to thread the thing, and got to sewing! I actually completed a “little” project, thanks to the tutorial on my college roommate’s blog. Thanks Lindsey for the inspiration! It was really fun and not to difficult. I think I have been bitten by the sewing bug. Hopefully, it won’t be eight months before I use the silly thing again!

Celebrating Baby Boy Vaden

Em and the girls who gave the shower(minus AC, who had to leave a little early)

Mommy and the big sister

Sunday, a couple of my friends and I hosted a Baby Shower for a dear friend. She is expecting a baby boy in about six weeks or so, and we could not be more excited. I can't wait for October to come because about five or so good friends are all expecting babies! I love a good baby shower and having friends over, so yesterday was lots of fun. Thanks to all of Emily's sweet friends who showed up to bless her and her new baby.

Tuneful Thursday

Last night we went to see a super cool guy play guitar at a yummy Mexican resturant. He was actually quite fabulous! It was really low key and a cool atmosphere and we enjoyed the company of fun friends! Robin's son, Zac, is really great and we can't wait to go back to hear him play!

Bear Birthday #1

There were almost 65 people at Will's 1st Birthday, learning from my mistakes,if you will, I downsized and had two small parties. The first little party was a few of Caroline's little friends that we have play group with. When Will was born, a lot of my friends had just had or were having a little one too. So, we all decided to form a play group and almost three years later we are still going strong! I had decided it would be way to hot for mid afternoon, so we partied in the morning with a breakfast! Caroline loved seeing her friends and celebrating her birthday. I guess everyone felt sorry for little Caroline having to play with all of the cars and boy toys at our house cause baby girl received four baby dolls(even a set of twins), multiple hair accessories, her own princess dishes,an adorable dress and some super cute artwork! Thanks for helping us celebrate!

Fair Fun

Saturday, August 8th was Williamson Medical Center at the Fair. We were able to go to the fair for free and ride the rides for free because I am an employee. It was actually a really nice thing they do for their employees! Will had the best time riding the kiddie rides and Caroline loved the pigs. We were farmers for the afternoon, we feasted on fair food, and we rode about $100 worth of rides for free! It was warm, but I was super thankful to be thirty pounds lighter this year and have our newest sweet family member with us. Poppy showed up and went through the kid's farm with us! We met Jesse's sister, Rachel and John and their two kids, Jack and Abby and BeBe. Will loved having two buddies to run around with! We loved the fair!

Happy 1st Birthday Caroline

My sweet Caroline,
Twenty-one months ago, we found out we were expecting a baby. You were such a delightful "surprise" and one year ago tomorrow, a beautiful baby girl was born. The whole time Mommy carried you in her tummy, I secretly wished for a daughter. Your Daddy did not want to find out what you were, so as we prayed for a healthy baby, Mommy kept it to herself that I thought you just might be that little girl I was praying for. The morning that we went in for your delivery was such an exciting day. We were anxious to find out who you were and we wanted you to arrive safely. I also had another thought on my mind...I was also secretly worried that it would be hard to share my love with another child. Caroline, how wrong I was. When we heard your little cry and saw your precious face, we began falling. We have fallen so deeply in love with you and each day that we have you is better than the last. You are a breath of fresh air, you are a ball of laughter, you are the sweetness and sassy all rolled into one. HOW did we ever get along without you? You are a true blessing from the Lord. A gift...a gift that I know I didn't deserve but it has been lavished upon me and I am forever grateful. We love you more than you will ever know. Happy Birthday Darling.

Mrs. Lloyd has CLASS!

We drove to Cl*rksville today to visit Baby Sister at her new "big girl job". She is teaching 2nd grade at a new school and we were so excited to see her new class room. I cannot believe she chose teaching as a profession because when we were smaller, it was I, who made her sit still while I pretended she was my pupil. She used to leave the room crying because I was so bossy! She had two little helpers to help decorate her room. We also stopped by to see her condo and it is too adorable! She is going to be a great teacher and it was really cool to see where she is going to enlighten new minds! I am really proud of you Jen! Thanks for the tour of Cl*rksville!
