Well, since I like to document the good, the bad, and the ugly here at "One Sweet World", here is a post about all three rolled into one. Jesse and Trey like to hunt together when he is in town. Sometimes they have luck, sometimes they just end up getting to hang out. This time they had lots of luck! The good part of the story, also the bad part of the story. I am always sad when some creature loses his life, but I guess that is the sport. The ugly part of the story is that Will was able to experience his first "cleaning" of a bird! Yuck, but he loved it. He has talked about the Turkey for days!!!

Congratulations

 

Congratulations Baby Sister!!! You did it! Today my sister finished her Master's in Education program. I am so proud of her! She will be so good at it! I look forward to seeing her live out this dream!!!

Gone Fishin

 

 

 

 

 

This afternoon, we took Will fishing. I am not sure was more excited, Papa, Jesse, or Will! I can tell you who was the most competitive...Jesse! We loaded up the car, our poles, some snacks, and the camera and headed out to catch some fish! We went to a family members house with a stocked pond to try our luck at catching Will's first fish. Now, I am just going to be truthful here, I am not really outdoorsy. I know most of you are totally shocked, but it is true. However, I really enjoyed fishing. It is my kind of sport, sitting around, quietly chatting to your friends, and having a snack while doing it. No wonder people get into this sport. Once we found some earthworms and bated our line(see I am using technical terms now, cause it is my kind of sport)the fish were biting. We caught four fish, I don't know what kind they were (I am not that into the sport) but it didn't matter because Will was just so excited to see something on his line! Caroline and Nonnie had fun sunbathing!! So if you come by our house and our doors are locked and our car is gone, we just might have "GONE FISHIN"!

8 and 29

In all of the Easter Excitement, I forgot that Will turned 29 months (Jesse has assured me that you do not keeping counting it like this,I, however disagree) and Caroline turned 8 months! Will is working on pottying. Never give up is my motto, I think it is his too. I am chosing to not give up on him learning, his slogan is never give up the diaper. I keep telling him if he will go in the potty, I would buy him a car, I am afraid at this rate, I will be buying him the real thing! Wow, if we could just get on the same page!!!I am totally convinced that someday he will get the hang of it!

Caroline is crawling and pulling up on things. She cried out the other day at naptime and I took a little longer than usual to get to her room and she was standing up in her crib, shaking the bed rails! Aaaah! Needless, to say we have got to lower the bed rails. Babbling like crazy and forming sounds such as "Ma Ma, Da Da, and Na Na". Very cute. I must say!

Here are the long awaited pictures from Easter. I had probably the best Easter I can remember since I was a little girl. Seeing the magic of Easter through Will's eyes was a great gift. (Caroline had fun too!) Will loved the egg hunts. He is really hyper, so running around looking for an object that is holding candy is right up his alley. He scored big time at both of the egg hunts we attended. We were really blessed to have both of our families come to our house for Easter this year. I felt like a "big girl" hosting a holiday at my house. We loved every minute of having the most important people over to share in such a beautiful holiday. But the best part of all was not coloring eggs, hunting for candy, eating yummy food, no the best part was waking up and knowing He has risen and we were washed whiter than snow. What a beautiful gift! Hope you had a great holiday too!!!

We had such a wonderful Easter. It was a joyful day from start to finish. From rising to see what a bunny brought us, to praising the risen King, to having both sides of our family over for lunch and an egg hunt! We were blessed beyond words. It isn't perfect by any stretch of the imagination...

No, I am not talking about the singing or the song (it is pretty cute, though)! Iam talking about me. The song is about something always in tune, always in order and always perfect. It is about the most beautiful name on Earth. Thank you today and everyday for dying for my sins, for trading my inequities for a clean slate. Thank you that someday I will get to enjoy a eternity with you because you paid for me in full. Thank you Jesus.

Easter Egg Decorating

I used to love doing this as a child. I really wanted to do this last year but Will was too young to really understand the concept, so I was super excited when we were able to dye them this year. Will really got into the whole "coloring" of the egg. He was also in charge of the color that each egg was to be dyed! It was hilarious! Check out the artwork. I never proclaimed to be an artist, but the drawing is really bad!!!

Abby

Our Sweet Cousin Abby's B-day was on Thursday and since we are always late here at One Sweet World (that's how we roll, unfortunately)we wanted to wish her the Happiest Birthday ever. I cannot believe two short years have passed since we saw your pretty face come out of that elevator! We were so pumped to add some pink to the family! I love this picture of Abby! She is such a cutie!! We love you very much and cannot wait for your party tomorrow!!!
