When the Parents are away, the Children Play

So, my mom wrote about the trip she took with Dad a few weekends ago, I just wanted to let you know she didn't have all the fun. We had a blast. We chilled at my Nonni and Poppi's house for the weekend and my Aunt Jen Jen(aka Baby Spoiler) came in for the weekend. We had a big ol' time.... we stayed up late, we ate at Chuka Cheese, we ate ice cream lots and not just after dinner, oh, and I got lots of presents. I am telling you we were treated like royalty! Yep, I think we totally got the better end of the deal. In fact, I think I will encourage Mom and Dad to go out of town more often!!! We won't tell them though, we have to act like we missed them a little bit or Mom would get sad.

Thanks Nonni, Pop, and Aunt Jen for a really cool weekend!
Love,
Will and Caroline

Our Fun Filled Valentine's Weekend

Jesse and I had a fabulous Valentine's Day, in fact we had a great Valentine's Day Weekend. A couple of weeks ago, our husbands started talking about a weekend away, the girls never thought it would actually materialize. However, they surprised us and we spent the a wonderfully relaxing weekend in South Carolina. No children and no schedule ( well, minus the tee time and dinner reservations). It was a much needed trip and we had such a fun time with each other and with our friends. Thanks L's and C's for such a fun time!

Stay tuned for the kid's Valentine's Weekend...they stayed with my parents. Thanks Nonni and Poppi, we were able to have fun because we didn't worry about the kids for a second! You are the best!!!!

Wordless Wednesday-6 month

Happy 6 month Birthday Baby!

Here are my six favorite memories with you.

1. The first time I saw your face. We did not find out your gender, so we were anxiously awaiting your arrival. When I saw your face, you looked so much like your brother, I told Daddy, that you were another boy. But, were we wrong. You were a beautiful baby girl.

2. The first time I held you in my arms. You were so wide eyed and so alert. I knew then I loved you so much.

3. The first time you smiled. Your smile is contagious.

4. The first time I heard you laugh. You are so serious, only your big brother can manage to get a giggle out of you.

5. The first time you sat up. You were so proud of yourself and so was Mommy.

We love you Caroline. You have brought us so much joy!

Under the Weather in the Beautiful Weather

Our house has been sick, I mean real sick. Ear infections all the way around. Two trips to our favorite doctor, three different antibiotics, and many hours of missed sleep. However, we are now on the mend. Thank you Lord for the sunshine and for healing. Here are are some pictures of our sunshines!

Put it in or hold it in?

Yum macaroni!

Here are some really funny pics from the past week.

Caroline will be six months old in eight days. She is dying to eat. At meal times, she watches like a little bird with her mouth open, it is really quite sad. The other night Will was eating ice cream after dinner as a treat for eating exceptionally well for three days, Caroline could hardly take her eyes off of it. She is her mother's child. So, to appease her I put and ice cub in her little mesh feeder. She loved it. So, as of now the countdown is on...eight days until baby girl gets her first taste of cereal. Will it hold up to her imagination?

Will has been taunting me all week by saying,"I need to go poo poo", so (you would think I had learned by now) I dusted off the potty and we have been playing with it all morning. He really is funny, he wants me to be proud of him, but he has NO intention of going potty. He will be playing and then all of a sudden he screams, "I need to go poo poo", he then runs furiously to the little potty, pulls down his pants with great zest, and then sits for a millisecond, to only stand up and say,"Look mommy, I went poo poo". He would be the king of the throne if poo poo was imaginary. Well, it looks like the potty is going into retirement for a few more months!
