25 Random Things

I saw this on Facebook and I though I would post it on here rather than on my Facebook page. The goal is to come up with 25 Random Things about me(hopes, dreams, weird things, etc). So, here is a glimpse into me....On Facebook, you were supposed to tag 25 of your friends, but since I am on my blog, I am tagging anybody reading this.

1.I am the wife of an amazing man, who the second time I ever laid eyes on him, he was missing a tooth, but by the end of the night, I knew he was very special, and by the end of that weekend, I wanted to marry him.

The cutest little snowman ever...

Well, tonight was Will's good friend, and Caroline's boyfriend, Colby's first birthday! It was a snowman theme and well, we actually had a little snow this morning in his honor! I cannot believe that he is one year old today. It really makes me aware of how fast time really moves. I just had to share some of the cute pics that I snapped. Happy Birthday Colby! Hope this year brings lots of fun your way!

What is going on?

Well, to be honest, not much at the Pilkinton House. I think that is why lately the blog has been a little less than stellar. However, I do want to bore you with an update from our neck of the woods.

Jesse is going to Nicarauga again (on a mission trip)and he is really excited. They are really just in the fund raising stage and trying to get prepared. The trip is scheduled for the first week in May. We have been praying so hard for God to bless this trip and He(as always) has gone above and beyond. Jesse has been able to raise almost all of his money and we have felt so blessed. Thank you to each one of you who gave abundantly and have begun to pray for the trip. We are also super excited because we have begun to sponsor a little eight year old girl who lives in the orphanage that they will be staying and visiting. Jesse will have a chance to meet her face to face and we are really excited about that.

Will is going to school and loving it. He loves his teachers and often asks, "Is there scooo today"? I loved school as a child and I am so excited to see that he loves it right now too. He is really practicing his manners and is really proud of the fact he can say "Yes mamam", now if we could just learn "yes sir", so we could quit calling all the men, women! He is also really ready for warm weather, we can only watch the few Disney movies we own, over and over, and over, and, well you get the picture.

Caroline is growing so fast. She is probably the busiest of us all. She has learned to sit unassisted pretty much all of the time now. She also likes to get up on her elbows and scoot a little bit. She is teething, I think, although no sign of any pearly whites! She is laughing and cooing and we are enjoying her so much!

As for me, well, I am just enjoying being a part of the three mentioned above. We feel really blessed and we hope that you have a great Monday!!!

My New Pink Ride

Hey Friends,
Word on the street is, I almost pulled my mom's arm out of socket this morning when she was carrying me to the car, rather than foot the bill to the Bone and Joint Clin*c, my mom decided it was time for a new ride. She said, "That's it Missy, you are starting to ride in the "big girl car seat!" I am not familiar with that term but I thought, "This could be kind of cool, sitting up higher checking out the headrest, not just the back seat", until my mother graciously informed me that I would be riding in my brother's old seat. My daddy said there was no need to rush out and buy a pretty pink one because we have two brown "big boy/girl" car seats already. Mom pleaded but daddy won. So, my mom listened and as I was getting prepared to learn to accessorize with a brown car seat, my Nonnie came through. And she came through big time. Not only is my new ride pink but it has flowers. Very hip if you ask me. Yep, check this baby out. Will I not look sooooo cute in this??? Thanks Nonnie for picking it out, Thanks Poppy for buying it!

We love Friday!

I love Fridays! There is just something about them. I actually get giddy thinking about them. Even though I don't work five days a week, and my Friday isn't filled with going out to a fancy dinner or catching a movie with my husband or packing for a weekend trip. Actually I am going to a one year old birthday party and spending time with the three people I love the most (plus a few I love a whole lot)! Hope you have that Friday feeling today and you have someone you love to share it with!

Caroline super excited about Friday!

Where has the time gone?

Baby Girl is 5 months old today! Wow. Time has flown, I guess because having her around has been so much fun. She has so many new tricks and it seems like she is learning new ones every day!!! She can sit alone for a couple of minutes, she laughs like crazy at her big brother, she rolls from back to tummy, and she grasps everything and brings it straight to her mouth! She is so sweet and makes each day more enjoyable than the last. She has really brought a sweetness to our family making it seem, somehow, more complete. We are so thankful for her and can't wait to watch her grown even bigger. Will will be 26 months old on Wednesday and he is such a great big bro! We got a new camera for Christmas and I finally took some pics of the kids. I love this camera! I can finally catch Will smiling!!!

The Sweetest Sound on Earth

No, not me singing the Wheels on the Bus, the other sound, Caroline laughing at her big brother. She is sort of stingy with her laughs, but she sure does love to laugh at her brother. I guess, he is funny?

Over it...

Is it over yet? What, you ask?
FOOTBALL! That is the question that many women in America are asking right about now. We have heard about it since April, watched it since August, and well, frankly at my house I am the only one wishing it was over. However, since it is not over and the Titans have done so well this season, I guess I want Football to hang around a few more weeks and so does my big guy and my little one.

Here are some pics of mt littlest fan!

Top Nine "Need to Do's" in 2009

Okay, I know, resolutions are so overrated and corny, and more than likely half of these will end up abandoned by the end of the first week, but just for fun here are my nine resolutions for 2009!

1. To fall deeper in love with my Lord and Savior, through daily quiet time and prayer time

2. To let my husband know how much I love him daily and strive to be a Godly wife

3. To be patient with Will and Caroline and see the joy in everything, even 5:45 wake up calls and the twenty third poopy diaper of the day.

4. To let my family know how much I love them and appreciate them.

5. To become more physically fit for my sister's wedding in June (notice I did not say "skinny"...I wanted to give this resolution a chance)!

6. To Potty Train Will, I have twelve months to complete this one right?

7. To learn to sew

8. To walk a half marathon (had to start slow, wanted to give this one a chance too).

9. To try to genuinely show love and compassion even when it is hard

Wow, when you see it in print, it makes you really want to try to keep them! Hope you all had the Happiest of New Years and hope this year is the best one yet!!!
