My sweet husband

I know this blog is mostly devoted to my little one(ones), but I felt kind of bad because I have another special someone who deserves some face time, so I just wanted to take a moment to acknowledge that I have the best husband in the whole wide world and I am going to miss him so much while he is gone to Nicarauga. I am so proud of him for going on this mission trip and I know he is going to be a blessing and be blessed. He is really a wonderful husband and a true best friend and I am so thankful that the Lord placed us together. Here are a few of my favorite photos showing his many lovable sides!

I love you Jesse!

Yea! Maclaine is on her way!

Well, it looks like little Briley Maclaine just could not wait until May to meet her Mommy and Daddy! We had Bunko last night at my house and Ashley came. I guess she had to much fun and needed some more excitement! We can't wait to meet this sweet girl and I made a sign and tried to get Will to hold it up. I was chasing him around the upstairs to get a picture and this is the best I got. Will also had so much fun playing with his little buddies Cy and Colby last night. It is so fun to see a second generation of friends hanging out together! We will keep you posted on Sweet Maclaine's entrance into the world and I will post stats. Lastly, I had my 25 week appointment today! I cannot believe how fast the second time around goes. I am getting more and more anxious each week to know what this precious baby is!

Happy Birthday Maclaine,
Love
Amanda and Will

Update: Maclaine made her arrival @ 3:16 pm. She weighed 5 lbs 14 oz and was 19 inches long! Haven't seen her yet, but heard she is quite adorable. Praise God for her safe arrival and her sweet parents!

Festival Fun

Tody was the Main Street Festival in Downtown Franklin and Will, Nonnie, and I decided to go. He went last year, but enjoyed it so much more this time around. We had such a fun time. It is one of the few times a year I get to see a dear friend, Hannah Stalnaker and her sweet family. I look so forward to seeing her each year and it was so fun to visit with her. We have dubbed it our annual meeting spot! Hannah has two sweet girls, Kelly and Lily. Will was mesmorized by Kelly her 3 1/2 year old and he followed her around trying to mimic her every move. Lily, Hannah's youngest, is adorable and seems like such a good baby. Will loved the festival, especially the kiddie section. We rode the train and Will had such a good time. He really wanted to try the Jumping things but we decided that would be on next year's festival to do list! Afer leaving Main Street we were totally exhausted but still made time to stop at Shoney's. Recently, I have been loving Hot Fudge Sundaes and I just had to have one. Will was very excited about that too. Here is a picture of him feeding himself, sort of!! All in all today was fabulous, good weather, good friends, good times!

Happy Birthday Sweet Sister

I distinctly remember the day that they called from the hospital to say you were born. April 26, 1986. I was staying with neighbors and Mom and Dad promised I would get to see you later that evening. I remember them telling me I had a new baby sister, I had no clue what those words meant then, but I sure do now. I now realized that Mom and Dad gave me one of life's greatest gifts that April morning. A sister, a companion, and life long best friend! I am so proud of you sweet little sister, of the person you have become! You are such a special person and I hope you have a wonderful birthday!!! We wish we could be there to share it with you, but we will see you soon. When I read this sweet poem, I could not help but think of you. Have the best day ever! Oh, and enjoy the pictures!!!

SISTERS
A sister's love is special
in oh so many ways
Now miles stretch between us
and minutes turn to days.

We've shared so much as children
the tears, the joys, the pain
A lifetime spent together
those memories remain.

In times gone by we've pondered
the paths our lives have taken
Knowing that in spite of this
our sister love unshaken.

A sister's love is special
in ways that are unspoken
Still that binding force exists
our sister love unbroken.

A boy and his slide

My child has discovered a new love...it used to be markers, then it was the bath, now it is SLIDES! Bill, Jesse's stepfather had a playground in his backyard that had a slide on it. Will instantly fell in love and Bill graciously decided that he had no use for the playground and it found a new home! It went home with us and Will is in heaven. Jesse, my Dad, and Uncle J.Clark took it apart and put it back together at our house! Will loves having a new slide at his house and constantly looks out the french doors and says "Side", which actually in Will's vocabulary has two meanings. Outside and Slide! He is having so much fun with the warm weather!!!

Baby Maclaine's Shower

Yesterday, I along with a few family members hosted a baby shower for my cousin, Ashley and her soon to be arriving baby girl, Maclaine! It was my first event in my new home, so I was kind of nervous, but it went well for the most part. We all had a great time and we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of sweet Maclaine. She is due May 9th...we will just have to see if she waits that long! The hostesses are pictured below with exception of Ruth and Brenda. Hurry up, Maclaine, we can't wait to meet you.

Will brushing his teeth

Will has always loved to brush his teeth from the moment I introduced him to the toothbrush! Recently he has been copying lots of "big people" behavior from Jesse and I. He likes to brush his hair, try to put on his shoes, flush the toliet, and here is his newest...spit when he is brushing his teeth! I started dying laughing the other night, when I caught him spitting like Mommy while brushing our teeth together. I just had to capture on video! He maybe if it being a mechanical engineer or plumber doesn't work out, he could be a dentist!

Happy Baptism Luke!

Today, sweet Luke Brock was baptized. We were unable to go because we have been under the weather and we hosted a baby shower for Ashley and baby Maclaine(pictures to follow). Luke's mom, Jessica, is a dear friend of mine and his father is dear friend of Jesse. We are so happy for them both! What a wonderful day. Dedicating the life of their new child to the Lord. As a parent, I know that is a proud day. The pictures I am posting are when we went to visit baby Luke after he was born. It is a picture of the proud grandmothers! He is so adorable. Will loved the cool motorcycle in Luke's nursery, he had to take a ride. We can't wait until Luke and Will can hang out again!

Our BUSY Week

We have had big changes around the Pilkinton Household this week! We have worked so long on the inside of our new home to make it liveable that we have had to neglect the outside until we were safely moved in. Now that we are in we have been working (well, Jesse and family) feverishly to get our outside of our home to match the inside. We decided to put a new front porch on the house and wow, does it look different! I love it. We also put a new patio on the side and when the weather is warmer we plan on tiling it with slate tile and rocking around the front porch! Jesse, my dad, my grandfather, Paul and Clay Lillard, and the concrete men worked really hard this week and it shows!!! Here is also a picture of my belly! Wow, has it really popped this week. I guess that is a good thing it means Pilkinton #2 is growing big and strong!

The last picture is a shout out to Jesse (DADDY) from Will. He says he misses you and to please hurry home! I love you too.

Will's favorite things!

We have been working on getting Will's big boy room ready for when the new baby comes. It is really cute. We painted it blue and we are doing a dinosaur theme! The bedding is really cute and I am going to post pictures of it soon. We also put a little table and chairs set in his room. I am going to paint it this week and I will post pictures! Will loves the table and chair set and loves to climb the chairs and sit at the big boy table. He loves to color and now he loves to color on his new table I took a picture of him and it is so cute! He also loves taking a bath. I made a video of him in the bath this morning singing his ABC's! Well, trying to sing his ABC's. It is so funny!!! He gets like two or three letters right in a row, of course he has no clue what he is saying but he loves trying to sing it!!! Will turned 17 months yesterday, so HAPPY 17 months WILLBEAR!!! We love you!

Best Buddies

I know I already posted for today, but I wanted to send a shout out to Cy (Will's best little friend) who actually reads our blog and looks at our pictures! Will wanted him to see his picture on the computer! These pictures were taken way back in September at the Thompson Station Grille. They look so little and sweet! Cy, We hope you have a very fun day playing with your brother, Colby! We will see you soon!
Love, Will

Wordless Wednesday

I stole this idea from Ashley Jones' blog! I love this series of pictures of Will at 13 months, so I thought I would share them. He was so sweet at this age!
